Plamena Daskalova consultation and supervision

Supervision & Consultation

As a former Director of Training and current Adjunct Professor at Loyola University Chicago, I deeply value the ongoing processes of learning, supervision, and consultation. Nowhere is this commitment more essential than in clinical practice, where the therapist’s presence, self-awareness, and continued growth are central to effective client care.

My supervision approach is grounded in the Integrative Developmental Model of Supervision (IDM), which conceptualizes professional growth as a dynamic, stage-based process. This model recognizes that supervisees’ needs and competencies evolve over time.

In our work together, I strive to create a supportive and reflective environment that balances structure with collaboration. Supervision sessions typically focus on clinical formulation, use of self in the therapeutic relationship, ethical decision-making, and developing a coherent therapeutic voice. I aim to tailor my feedback and level of direction to your current developmental stage, fostering both confidence and competence in your clinical work.

If you are a pre-licensed professional seeking supplemental one-on-one supervision as you accrue clinical hours, or a licensed clinician looking for case consultation or professional mentorship, I welcome the opportunity to connect.

Please feel free to contact me to discuss my availability.
