  • Currently, I offer telehealth services only. Sessions take place by appointment and are conducted through a HIPAA-compliant telehealth platform. Once scheduled, you will receive an email with a link to join the appointment approximately 10 minutes before the start of the session.

Please note, you must be located in the state of Illinois or one of the PSYPACT states at the time of services.

  • Fees are as follows:

    • Initial assessment: $300

    • Individual Therapy: $200

    • Career Counseling: $250/hour or $600/workshop

    • Supervision & Consultation: Available upon request

  • Therapy begins with one or more Initial Assessment sessions during which I’ll guide the conversation to learn more about you, your current concerns and historical context. Following these meetings, we will work together to create a plan for the start of treatment, identifying specific goals and objectives that you’d like to accomplish at this time.

Weekly sessions will include a blend of structured and unstructured time, allowing you to intentionally focus on goals while responding to changing circumstances.

Throughout our work, I also regularly will check in with you about how treatment is progressing, and we will collaborate to make adjustments as needed.

  • Praxis Counseling Services is in-network with:

    • BCBS PPO

    • Blue Choice PPO

    • United HealthCare PPO

    • Aetna PPO

    • Cigna PPO

    • Northwestern Student Health Insurance

Additionally, it is possible to use your out-of-network benefits by receiving and submitting a Superbill to your insurance provider.

  • Therapy is most effective when you are engaged in a regular and consistent way. Typically, this means meeting on a weekly or bi-weekly basis or as recommended by your provider.

Of course, life happens and occasionally you may not be able to attend an appointment. If an appointment is canceled with less than 24-hours notice, or if you fail to attend without any notice, you will be responsible for a late-cancelation fee ($100 for a first late-cancel, $150 for a second late-cancel, and $200 for the third and any subsequent late-canceled appointments). Please be advised that insurance typically does not cover these fees.

  • All medical and mental health professionals or facilities are required to provide a “Good Faith Estimate” for services to those who are paying out-of-pocket. If this applies to you, this document will be provided following the Initial Assessment.
